Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 24, 2026

Welcome to Computer Repair Masters. We built this site to cut through the noise of generic tech advice. We publish real repair guides, honest hardware reviews, and strict performance benchmarks. Before you dig into our teardowns or buying guides, read these terms. They dictate exactly how you can use our content, what we are responsible for, and what falls entirely on your shoulders.

By accessing computerrepairmasters.com, you agree to these terms. If you disagree with anything written here, close the tab. We operate this site for DIY builders, repair technicians, and everyday users looking for straight answers. We expect you to respect the boundaries we set.

1. The Nature of Our Content

We document our repairs. We test components under heavy loads. We publish our findings. But every PC build is unique. A BIOS update that works flawlessly on our test bench might brick your specific motherboard. A thermal paste application technique that drops our CPU temps by five degrees might not work for your cooler mounting pressure.

Hardware is unforgiving.

Our guides are strictly for informational purposes. They are never a substitute for professional, hands-on diagnostics. If you open your power supply, you risk lethal shock. If you force a processor into the wrong socket, you will bend the pins. We are not responsible for your hardware. You assume all risk the moment you pick up a screwdriver.

2. Accuracy and Obsolescence

Technology moves fast. A troubleshooting guide written for a specific Dell Tower Plus might become obsolete after a major Windows update. A hardware recommendation for an Acer Aspire might change when a new generation of processors hits the market.

We update our archives constantly. We correct errors when we find them. We cannot guarantee every older article perfectly reflects current software realities. You must cross-reference our advice with your specific system version. If you follow a three-year-old guide without checking for recent OS changes, you do so at your own risk.

3. Affiliate Disclosure and Editorial Independence

Hardware is expensive. Running a testing lab takes resources. We fund Computer Repair Masters partly through affiliate links. When you click a link to a retailer and buy a component, we sometimes earn a small commission. This comes at no extra cost to you.

This revenue model never dictates our editorial stance. We buy the vast majority of our test hardware at retail prices. When a brand sends a review unit, we disclose it clearly at the top of the article. Manufacturers do not get copy approval. They see the review exactly when you see the review.

We reject sponsored reviews entirely. We do not accept payment to hide a product flaw. If a highly anticipated graphics card ships with terrible drivers, we publish that fact. If a budget desktop offers better value than a premium rig, we recommend the budget option. Our loyalty is to the performance metrics.

4. Intellectual Property and Copyright

We spend hours photographing motherboard layouts. We write detailed troubleshooting trees. We run exhaustive benchmark suites. That content belongs to us. It is protected by international copyright law.

You cannot scrape our articles. You cannot copy our benchmark charts and pass them off as your own. You cannot republish our buying guides on your own domain. We protect our work aggressively.

If you want to reference our findings, you must follow standard citation practices.

  • Quote a short excerpt of no more than three sentences.
  • Credit Computer Repair Masters clearly in the text.
  • Provide a direct, dofollow link back to the original page on our site.

Theft is obvious. We issue DMCA takedown notices for stolen content without warning.

5. User Conduct and Community Standards

We host discussions in our comment sections. We want to hear about your repair successes and your hardware failures. We expect these discussions to remain technical, useful, and respectful.

Do not post spam. Do not link to sketchy driver download sites or unauthorized software repositories. Do not attack other readers over their preference for Windows or macOS. We moderate the comment section heavily. We delete useless noise. We permanently ban users who violate these basic rules of respect.

6. Limitation of Liability

This is the legal reality of DIY computer repair. Computer Repair Masters, its owners, its authors, and its affiliates are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this website. This includes direct hardware damage, data loss, lost profits, or business interruption.

Data loss is the most common disaster in computer repair.

We tell you to back up your files before attempting any fix. If you ignore that advice, attempt a partition resize, and wipe your primary drive, that is your fault. We hold no liability for lost family photos, deleted financial records, or corrupted project files. You are responsible for your own data redundancy.

We provide all information on an as is basis. We offer no warranties of fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying compatibility before buying parts based on our guides.

7. External Links

We link to manufacturer websites, driver repositories, and software tools. We verify these links at the time of publication. We do not control these external sites. If a manufacturer changes a URL or a third-party site gets compromised, we are not responsible for what you find there. Always verify the domain before downloading any executable file or BIOS update.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of our operating jurisdiction. We apply these laws without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising from your use of computerrepairmasters.com will be handled exclusively in the appropriate local courts. By using this site, you consent to this jurisdiction.

9. Changes to These Terms

The tech landscape shifts. Our testing methodologies evolve. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time to reflect new realities. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the site after that date means you accept the new terms.

We do not send individual emails when the terms change. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically.

10. Contact Information

Got a question about these rules? Need clarification on our citation policy? Reach out via our contact page. We read every message. We typically respond within two business days. We ignore automated spam and legal threats.
